<div><p>You might need to use Post Office Protocol (POP) occasionally,

||
|
|
but want to limit the amount of access users have the POP server.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section">POP is configured by default to start automatically when TCP/IP starts.
|
||
|
|
To prevent POP server jobs from starting automatically when you start TCP/IP,
|
||
|
|
follow these steps:</div>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
||
|
|
expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">your iSeries Server</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Servers</span> > <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP</span></span>.</span></li>

||
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">POP</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Clear <span class="uicontrol">Start when TCP/IP starts</span>.</span></li>
