The <span class="wintitle">EZ-Setup</span> wizard is packaged with your iSeries™ server. </p>
|
||

<div class="section"> <p>iSeries Navigator
|
||
|
|
is a graphical user interface that provides concise dialog boxes and wizards
|
||
|
|
to configure TCP/IP. For initial setup, use the iSeries Navigator's <span class="wintitle">EZ-Setup</span> wizard
|
||
|
|
to establish a connection and to configure TCP/IP for the first time. This
|
||
|
|
is the preferred method for working with your server because the interface
|
||
|
|
is easy to use. The CD-ROM containing the <span class="wintitle">EZ-Setup</span> wizard
|
||
|
|
is packaged with your iSeries server.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>To configure your server, follow
|
||
|
|
these steps:</p>
|
||

<ol><li><span>Use the <span class="wintitle">EZ-Setup</span> wizard. Access the wizard
|
||
|
|
from the CD-ROM that is packaged with your server. Follow the wizard's instructions
|
||
|

to configure TCP/IP.</span></li>

<li><span>Start TCP/IP.</span><ol type="a"><li><span>In iSeries Navigator,
|
||
|
|
expand your <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol"><var class="varname">your server</var></span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span></span>.</span></li>

<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP configuration</span> and
|
||
|
|
select <span class="uicontrol">Start</span>. All interfaces and servers that were
|
||
|
|
set to start automatically when TCP/IP is started will be started at this
|
||
|
|
time.</span></li>
