<li>Click <span class="bold">Configure system as Directory server</span> in the <span class="bold">Server Configuration tasks</span> window

at the bottom right of iSeries Navigator.</li>

<li>The <span class="bold">Directory Server Configuration Wizard</span> appears.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Configure a local LDAP directory server</span> on the <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server Configuration
|
||
|
|
Wizard - Welcome</span> window.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Next</span> on the <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server Configuration Wizard - Welcome</span> window.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Select <span class="bold">No</span> on the <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server Configuration Wizard - Specify Settings</span> window.
|
||
|
|
This allows you to configure the LDAP server without the default settings.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Next</span> on the <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server Configuration Wizard - Specify Settings</span> window.</li>

<li>Uncheck <span class="bold">System-generated</span> on the <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server Configuration Wizard - Specify

<li>Select <span class="bold">Yes, use all IP addresses</span> on

<li>Point your browser to http://<span class="italic">myiSeries.my_co.com</span>:9080/IDSWebApp/IDSjsp/Login.jsp, where <span class="italic">myiSeries.my_co.com</span> is your iSeries server.</li>

<li>A login page should appear. Click the <span class="bold">LDAP
|
||
|
|
Hostname</span> list and select <span class="bold">Console Admin</span>.
|
||
|
|
Type <tt>superadmin</tt> for the username and <tt>secret</tt> for the password. Click <span class="bold">Logon</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Configure the Web Administration tool to connect to the LDAP server on
|
||
|
|
your iSeries. Select <span class="bold">Console administration —>
|
||
|
|
Manage console servers</span> in the left hand navigation.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Add</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>In the <span class="bold">Add server</span> field, type <tt>myiSeries.my_co.com</tt>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Ok</span>. The new server appears in the
|
||
|
|
list under <span class="bold">Manage console servers</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">logout</span> in the left hand navigation.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>At the login page of the Web administration tool click the <span class="bold">LDAP Hostname</span> list and select the server you just configured (<span class="bold">myiSeries.my_co.com</span>).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>In the <span class="bold">Username</span> field type <tt>cn=administrator</tt>, and in the <span class="bold">Password</span> field
|
||
|
|
type <tt>secret</tt>. Click <span class="bold">Login</span>. You should see the main page of the IBM Directory Server Web Administration
|
||
|
|
