<h2 id="rzahqdnwpi">Delete an integrated Windows server's NWSD</h2>
<p>Before you delete a network server description (NWSD), you need to unlink
its disk drives (see <a href="rzahqunlpi.htm#rzahqunlpi">Unlink integrated Windows server disk drives</a>) and delete storage spaces
that are associated with that NWSD (see <a href="rzahqdsspi.htm#rzahqdsspi">Delete integrated Windows server disk drives</a>). Then you
can delete the NWSD.</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>To unlink the storage space for the system drive for NWSDs created at
V4R5 and later, on the i5/OS command line, type <tt>RMVNWSSTGL
NWSSTG(nwsdname1) NWSD(nwsdname)</tt>. Press Enter.</li>
<li>To unlink the storage space for the install source drive, type <tt>RMVNWSSTGL NWSSTG(nwsdname2) NWSD(nwsdname)</tt> and press Enter.</li>
<li>Any user defined storage spaces that have been linked to the NWSD can
also be removed at this time using the command as often as needed <tt>RMVNWSSTGL NWSSTG(nwsstgname) NWSD(nwsdname)</tt> and press Enter.</li>
<li>To delete the network server storage space object for the system drive,
type the command <tt>DLTNWSSTG NWSSTG(nwsdname1)</tt> and
press Enter.</li>
<li>To delete the network server storage space object for the install source
drive, type <tt>DLTNWSSTG NWSSTG(nwsdname2)</tt> and press
Enter.</li>
<li>Remove any additional storage spaces that are no longer needed by typing
the <tt>DLTNWSSTG NWSSTG(nwsstgname)</tt> command and pressing
Enter.</li></ol>
<p>To delete an integrated server's network server description (NWSD), follow
these steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>On i5/OS, type the command <tt>WRKNWSD</tt> and press
Enter.</li>
<li>Type <tt>8</tt> in the <tt>Opt</tt> field
to the left of the Network Server; press Enter. The Work with Configuration
Status display appears.</li>
<li>If the status of the NWSD is not varied off, type <tt>2</tt> in the <tt>Opt</tt> field to the left of the Network
Server; press Enter. Otherwise, go to the next step.</li>
<li>Press F3 to return to the previous dialog.</li>
<li>Enter a <tt>4</tt> in the <tt>Opt</tt> field to the left of the Network Server and press Enter.</li>
<li>On the <tt>Confirm Delete of Network Server Descriptions</tt> display, press Enter.</li></ol>
