provide the <span class="apiname">send_file()</span> and <span class="apiname">accept_and_recv()</span> APIs

that enable faster and easier file transfers over connected sockets.</p>

||
|
<p> These two APIs are especially useful for file-serving applications such
|
||
|
as Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) servers.</p>
|
||
|
<p>The <span class="apiname">send_file()</span> enables the sending of file data directly
|
||
|
from a file system over a connected socket with a single API call.</p>
|
||
|
<p>The <span class="apiname">accept_and_recv()</span> is a combination of three socket
|
||
|
functions: <span class="apiname">accept()</span>, <span class="apiname">getsockname()</span>,
|
||
|
and <span class="apiname">recv()</span>. </p>
