<div><p>The DBCS conversion dictionary is a collection of alphanumeric
entries and their related DBCS words. The server refers to the dictionary
when performing DBCS conversion.</p>
<div class="section"><p>All DBCS conversion dictionaries have an object
type of *IGCDCT. A server-supplied and a user-created dictionary are used
with DBCS conversion.</p>

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rbal3ssd.htm">Server-supplied dictionary (for Japanese use only) for DBCS</a></strong><br />
QSYSIGCDCT, the server-supplied dictionary that is stored in the library, QSYS, is a collection of entries with a Japanese pronunciation expressed in alphanumeric characters and the DBCS words related to those entries. The server checks this dictionary second when performing DBCS conversion.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rbal3ucd.htm">User-created dictionary for DBCS</a></strong><br />
A user-created dictionary contains any alphanumeric entries and related DBCS words that you choose to include. You might create a user dictionary to contain words unique to your business or words that you use regularly but that are not included in the server-supplied dictionary.</li>

You can use the commands listed in this topic to perform object management functions with the DBCS conversion dictionary.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rbal3disprt.htm">Display and print the DBCS conversion dictionary</a></strong><br />
You can use the Display DBCS Conversion Dictionary (DSPIGCDCT) command to display and print the DBCS conversion dictionary. You can display or print the entire dictionary or just a certain part of it, depending on the value you specify for the ENTRY parameter.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rbal3delcd.htm">Delete a DBCS conversion dictionary</a></strong><br />
You can use the Delete DBCS Conversion Dictionary (DLTIGCDCT) command to delete a DBCS conversion dictionary from the server.</li>
