<div><p>The <span class="keyword">iSeries™</span> integrated
database provides file attribute and cross-reference information.</p>
<div class="p">Some of the cross-reference information include: <ul><li>The files used in a program</li>
<li>The files that depend on other files for data or access paths</li>
<li>File attributes</li>
<li>The fields defined for a file</li>
<li>Constraints associated with a file</li>
<li>Key fields for a file</li>
</ul>
</div>
<p>Each of the commands described in these topics can present information
on a display, a printout, or write the cross-reference information to a database
file that, in turn, can be used by a program or utility (for example, Query)
for analysis.</p>
<p></p>
<p>You can retrieve information about a member of a database file for use
in your applications with the Retrieve Member Description (RTVMBRD) command.</p>
