<h4 id="rzau6receive">Receive AFP resources from another system</h4>
|
||
|
|
<p>When you receive Advanced Function Presentation™ (AFP™) resource data
|
||
|
|
from an operating system other than an iSeries server, you typically cannot change
|
||
|
|
the resource. If you want to change the resource, it must be changed on the
|
||
|
|
originating operating system and then resent to the iSeries™. Follow these
|
||
|
|
steps to receive an AFP resource from another system: </p>
|
||
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
||
|
|
<li>Place the received resource in a data file.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Start an iSeries Navigator session.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="bold">My Connections</span> (or your active environment).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>If you do not have an AFP Manager icon, install AFP Manager as follows:
|
||
|
|
Right-click <span class="bold">My Connections</span> (or your active environment)
|
||
|
|
and select <span class="bold">Install Options</span> then <span class="bold">Selective
|
||
|
|
Setup</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Resources</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Right-click the appropriate resource type and select <span class="bold">Import</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Specify the name of the source file and the name and location for the
|
||
|
|
new resource to be created on the server.</li></ol>
