<div><p>Rather than create all of your policies from the beginning, you

can make copies of the original policy and then edit the sections of the policy

||

that differ from the original policy.</p>

||

<p> In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
||
|
|
this quality of service (QoS) function is called <var class="varname">New
|
||
|
|
based on</var>. You must use iSeries Navigator to access the QoS window
|
||
|
|
that enables you to proceed with copying policies.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>To create a copy of an existing policy, follow the steps in <span class="uicontrol">Create
|
||
|
|
a new policy based on an existing policy</span> within the iSeries Navigator
|
||
|
|
help.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>Before your policies can take effect, you must enable them by starting
|
||
|
|
the QoS server or performing a dynamic server update. Before you enable the
|
||
|
|
policies, be sure to look for overlapping policies that might cause problems.</p>
|
||
