<div><p>This page highlights changes to iSeries™ Access for Windows<sup>®</sup> programming
topic for V5R4.</p>
<div class="section"><div class="p">For V5R4, database programming now offers support
for the following: <ul><li>2MB SQL statements </li>
<li>128-byte column names </li>
<li>The ability to pass an eWLM correlator to the iSeries database to enable Application
Response Measurement instrumentation </li>
</ul>

<div class="p">In addition to the above, the .NET Data Provider also includes
the following enhancements: <ul><li>Support for LOB data types </li>
<li>Support for Library List and System Naming </li>
<li>IntelliSense to aid in code development </li>
<li>Support for multiple active result sets per connection </li>
<li>Support for handling Char for Bit Data, Date, Time, TimeStamp, Decimal,
and Numeric values as strings </li>
<li>Sample programs </li>
</ul>

<p>The OLE DB provider now includes support for Library List and
System Naming.</p>
