<div><p>You can install the Backup, Recovery and Media Services (BRMS)

plug-in to iSeries™ Navigator

||

to configure and manage your save operations on your system.</p>

||
|

your iSeries server

and PC meet the hardware and software requirements. After you have installed
|
||
|
|
all the prerequisite software and any optional features that you want, you
|
||

can install the BRMS plug-in to iSeries Navigator:<img src="./deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /></div>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>In iSeries Navigator,
|
||
|
|
right-click <span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> and select <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">Install Options</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Install Plug-ins</span></span>.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Install Plug-ins panel, select the server that you want
|
||
|
|
to install the plug-in from (must be a server that has the BR1 product installed)
|
||
|
|
and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Enter your i5/OS™ user profile name and password on the Password
|
||
|
|
panel and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>. (The prompt may ask for the Windows<sup>®</sup> password,
|

but it needs to be the i5/OS user profile password.)</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> Some Windows operating
|
||
|
|
systems may require the Windows and i5/OS user profile passwords to match.</div>

the Plug-in Selection panel appears, check the Backup, Recovery, and Media
|
||

Services checkbox and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>The first time the iSeries Navigator is used after installing
|
||
|
|
a plug-in, the iSeries Navigator
|
||
|
|
scan panel will appear. Click <span class="uicontrol">Scan Now</span>. If you do not

click the Scan Now button, the plug-in that was just installed will be disabled
|
||
|
|
and will not show up in iSeries Navigator.</span></li>
