<div><p>There are some global properties that Sharon wants to specify that
will control how BRMS operates in her environment. </p>
<p>To access these settings, she selects <span class="uicontrol">Backup, Recovery and Media
Services</span> in iSeries™ Navigator, and then clicks <span class="uicontrol">Global
Policy Properties</span>. First, she wants to ensure that she is able
to access the server during backup processing. She clicks on the Signoff Exceptions
tab and specifies the security officer user name.</p>
<p>Second, she wants to tailor how BRMS interacts with her during processing.
She wants to be sure that she sees messages about a program or function ending
abnormally, but she isn't interested in seeing messages that are purely informational.
She clicks on the Notification tab and specifies the settings she wants to
use.</p>
