<h4 id="scsystembus">System bus and HSL data flows</h4>
<p><img src="delta.gif" alt="Start of change" />The disk drive SCSI and virtual Ethernet data flows between i5/OS&trade; and the integrated server over the iSeries&trade; system bus (for an IXS) or a high speed
link (HSL) connection between an I/O tower and the iSeries system (for
an IXA). See <a href="rzahqscixsandixa.htm#rzahqscixapic">Figure 13</a> and <a href="rzahqscixsandixa.htm#ixsixaconf">Figure 14</a>. In
essence, the disk drive SCSI and virtual Ethernet protocols are encapsulated
or tunnelled within the normal iSeries system bus/HSL data transfer protocols.<img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /></p><img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /><img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" />
