<h2 id="rzahqinlpi">Install IBM i5/OS Integrated Server Support</h2>
<p>To install IBM&reg; i5/OS&trade; Integrated Server Support, perform these steps on iSeries&trade;:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li><img src="delta.gif" alt="Start of change" />If you are upgrading IBM iSeries Integration for Windows Server from
V5R2 or V5R3, refer to this topic, <a href="rzahqupgradeintgr.htm#rzahqupgradeintgr">Upgrade the IBM iSeries Integration for Windows Server licensed program</a>. Perform
the steps under "Preparing to Upgrade" and then return here.<img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /></li>
<li>Insert the i5/OS CD containing 5722-SS1 option 29.</li>
<li>Type <tt>GO LICPGM</tt> and press Enter.</li>
<li>Choose option <tt>11</tt> from the <tt>Work with Licensed Programs</tt> menu; then press Enter.</li>
<li>Page down the list of licensed programs until you see the description <tt>Integrated Server Support</tt>.</li>
<li><img src="delta.gif" alt="Start of change" />Enter a <tt>1</tt> in the <tt>Option</tt> field beside the description.<img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /></li>
<li>Press enter.</li>
<li>Enter the name of the <tt>Installation device</tt> in
which you inserted the i5/OS CD.</li>
<li>Press Enter, and the system installs the integration software.</li>
<li>After installing IBM i5/OS Integrated Server Support, install the latest cumulative
program temporary fix (PTF) package from IBM. Note that there should be no users on
your iSeries when installing PTFs. If your system uses logical partitions,
load the PTFs on the secondary partitions on which you are installing i5/OS Integrated Server Support and set them for apply delay. Then load them
on the primary partition. Refer to <a href="../rzam8/rzam8fixinstalllpar.htm">Install program
temporary fixes on a system with logical partitions.</a></li>
<li>To install the latest PTF, complete the following steps:
<ol type="a">
<li>On the i5/OS command line, type <tt>GO PTF</tt> and press
Enter.</li>
<li>To install the program temporary fix package, type <tt>8</tt> and press Enter.</li>
<li>In the <tt>Device</tt> field, enter the name of your
optical device.</li>
<li>Use the default *YES for <tt>Automatic IPL</tt> unless
your system uses logical partitions. Press Enter to install all PTFs. Unless
you changed the value to *NO, your system automatically shuts down and restarts.</li></ol> For more information about PTFs see <a href="../rzal2/rzal2ptfs.htm">Fixes</a> in

<li><img src="delta.gif" alt="Start of change" />If you are upgrading IBM iSeries Integration for Windows Server from
V5R2 or V5R3, go to <a href="rzahqupgradeintgr.htm#rzahqupgradeintgr">Upgrade the IBM iSeries Integration for Windows Server licensed program</a>. Perform the steps under &quot;After upgrading i5/OS&quot; and return here.<img src="deltaend.gif" alt="End of change" /></li>
<li>If you are upgrading i5/OS Integrated Server Support from a prior release, you
need to upgrade existing integrated Windows servers to the new level. See <a href="rzahqupspi.htm#rzahqupspi">Upgrade the integrated server side of IBM i5/OS Integrated Server Support</a>.</li></ol>
