<h2 id="rzahqengpi">Enroll an i5/OS group to the Windows environment using iSeries Navigator</h2>
|

<p>This procedure enrolls all users in the i5/OS™ group to the Windows environment. You
|
||
|
can find information about creating i5/OS user and group profiles in the <a href="../books/sc415302.pdf" target="_blank">iSeries™ Security Reference</a>

||

<p>To enroll an i5/OS group and its members to the Windows environment,
|
||
|
follow these steps:</p>
|
||
|
<ol type="1">
|
||
|
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Integrated Server Administration</span> —> <span class="bold">Servers or Domains</span>.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Right-click an available Windows domain or server from the list and select <span class="bold">Enroll Groups</span>.
|
||
|
<p><span class="bold">Note:</span> Do not select
|
||
|
a Windows workgroup. Enrollment to a workgroup is not supported.</p></li>
|
||
|
<li>Enter a group name or select an unenrolled group from the list.</li>
|
||
|
<li>(Optional) To use a template to create new users, specify a Windows user
|
||
|
to use as a template when creating users in the group on Windows. If you
|
||
|
change the user template after you enroll a user, the changes do not affect
|
||
|
the user.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Select <span class="bold">Global</span> if the group is being enrolled in
|
||
|
a domain and the group should be visible to the domain. Otherwise, select <span class="bold">Local </span>. Windows server local groups can contain users and
|
||
|
Windows server global groups, while Windows server global groups can contain
|
||
|
only users. See the Windows online help for more information about group types.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Enroll.</span></li></ol>
|
||
|
