<h5 id="rzahqclusterwin2kinstall">Install Windows Cluster service on Windows 2000 Server</h5>
<p>Use the Cluster Service Configuration wizard to install the Windows Cluster
service. You supply the wizard with all the initial cluster configuration
information.</p>
<p>To install Windows Cluster service, perform the following tasks:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>Start the Cluster Service Configuration wizard</li>
<li>Use the wizard to configure the cluster service</li></ol>
<p><span class="bold">Start the Cluster Service Configuration wizard:</span></p>
<p>To start the Cluster Service Configuration wizard, complete the following
steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>From the Windows <span class="bold">Start</span> menu, click <span class="bold">Settings</span>, then click <span class="bold">Control Panel</span>.</li>
<li>In the <span class="bold">Control Panel</span> window, double-click <span class="bold">Add/Remove Programs.</span></li>
<li>In the <span class="bold">Add/Remove Programs</span> window, click <span class="bold">Add/Remove Windows Components</span>.</li>
<li>In the <span class="bold">Windows Components Wizard</span> dialog box, select <span class="bold">Cluster Service</span>, then click <span class="bold">Next</span>.</li></ol>
<p><span class="bold">Configure the Windows Cluster service:</span></p>
<p>After you have started the Cluster Service Configuration wizard, it prompts
you through the installation of the Windows Cluster service. You supply the
wizard with all the initial cluster configuration information, which is required
in order to create the cluster.</p>
<p>When prompted for the quorum resource, select the drive that you formatted
and labeled. Although this drive is typically the E: drive for a new installation,
the Disk Manager may have fixed another letter to the drive.</p>
<p>Network connections require special consideration:</p>

<dt class="bold"><span class="bold">Note:</span></dt>
<dd>The order in which the Cluster Service Configuration wizard presents
the network configuration information may vary.
</dd>
</dl>
<ul>
<li>Uncheck the box <span class="bold">Enable this network for cluster use</span> for
the <tt>IBM&reg; iSeries&trade; virtual Ethernet Point to point</tt> (typically
Local Area Connection 3)</li>
<li>Select the option <span class="bold">Internal cluster communications only</span> for the <tt>IBM iSeries virtual Ethernet x</tt>where <tt>x</tt> matches the <tt>*VRTETHx</tt> specified on the cluster
configuration connection port (typically Local Area Connection 2)</li>
<li>Configure the remaining network connections according to their need</li></ul>
<p>Specify the <tt>IBM iSeries virtual Ethernet x</tt> adapter (typically
Local Area Connection 2) as the primary network for the Internal Cluster
Communication.</p>
