<div><p>The Java™ Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) is part of
|

the JavaSoft platform application program interface (API). With JNDI, you

can connect seamlessly to multiple naming and directory services. You can
|

build powerful and portable directory-enabled Java applications by using this interface.</p>

<p>JavaSoft developed the JNDI specification with leading industry partners,

SunSoft, Novell, Netscape, and Hewlett-Packard Co.</p>
