This topic discusses how to unlink integrated Linux® server
drives.

You can unlink a Linux drive from a Linux server either when the server is
shut down or when it is up and running. Unlinking a dynamic storage space
from a running server is only possible at V5R3 or later, and before you unlink
the drive you must ensure that:

No users are using the Linux drive to be unlinked.

The drive was linked dynamically in the first place.

If the disk is part of an active logical volume group, it cannot be unlinked.

a Linux drive

complete the following steps:

from the server using the umount command from the Linux servers console.

If you do not want to unlink the drive dynamically, shut down the Linux server
to which the drive is linked.

Click All Virtual Disks under Integrated Server

you created the storage space are displayed.
