<div><p>How to manage the journal receivers.</p>

<div class="section">If you choose to manage journal receivers manually,
|
||
|
|
use the following procedure to detach, save and delete a journal receiver: </div>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Type <kbd class="userinput">CHGJRN JRN(QAUDJRN) JRNRCV(*GEN)</kbd>. This
|
||
|
|
command does the following:</span> <ol type="a"><li>Detaches the currently attached receiver.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Creates a new receiver with the next sequential number.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Attaches the new receiver to the journal.<p>For example, if the current
|
||
|
|
receiver is AUDRCV0003, the system creates and attaches a new receiver called
|
||
|
|
AUDRCV0004.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>The Work with Journal Attributes (<span class="cmdname">WRKJRNA</span>)
|
||
|
|
command tells you which receiver is currently attached: <samp class="codeph">WRKJRNA QAUDJRN</samp>.</p>
|

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Use the Save Object (<span class="cmdname">SAVOBJ</span>) command to save

the detached journal receiver. Specify object type *JRNRCV. </span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Use the Delete Journal Receiver (<span class="cmdname">DLTJRNRCV</span>)
|
||
|
|
command to delete the receiver. If you try to delete the receiver without
|
||
|
|
saving it, you receive a warning message.</span></li>
