Directory and file-level security is available for UDF volumes.
The system maintains the data authorities of optical directories
and files for three groups of users; owner, group, and public. Volume level
security is also available through authorization lists.

Directory and file-level security is not guaranteed when volumes are removed
and transported to and from other systems. Security information recorded in
the UDF structures on the media may not have the same meaning on another system
as it does on the system where it was written.
