<div><p>Perform a cluster switchover when you want a backup server to access

||
|
|
the switchable device containing an independent disk pool.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>In a multisystem clustered environment that uses switchable independent
|
||
|
|
disk pools, an independent disk pool can only be accessed by one node at
|
||
|
|
a time. Current access to a switchable independent disk pool
|
||
|
|
is managed through the <a href="../rzaig/rzaigconceptsswitchover.htm">switchover</a> function within the cluster.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>To switch access from the current node in the cluster to the first backup
|
||
|
|
node: </p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li> The switchover may have already made the current node unavailable. If
|
||
|
|
not, then from the current node, <a href="rzalymakediskpoolunavailable.htm"> make a disk pool unavailable</a> (vary off). </li>
|
||
|
|
<li> Switch the independent disk pool to the first backup cluster node by
|
||
|
|
performing a switchover in the cluster. See <a href="../rzaig/rzaigmanageperformswitchover.htm">Perform a switchover</a> for details.</li>
