<div><p>If you detached the mirror copy and have completed your work with the detached
|
||
|
|
mirror copy, you must reattach the detached mirror copy in order to resume
|
||
|
|
using <a href="rzalygeographicmirror.htm">geographic mirroring</a>.
|
||
|
|
You reattach the detached mirror copy by accessing the production copy of
|
||
|
|
the disk pool. The detached mirror copy must be <a href="rzalymakediskpoolunavailable.htm">unavailable</a> when you reattach it to the production copy.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> When you reattach the detached mirror copy, a complete synchronization
|
||
|
|
is required between the production copy and the mirror copy. Synchronization
|
||
|
|
can be a lengthy process.</div>
|
||
|
|
<div class="p">To reattach the mirror copy, follow these steps:<ol><li>In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
||
|
|
expand <span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> (or your active environment).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand the server that owns the production copy of the disk pool to which
|
||
|
|
you want to reattach the detached mirror copy.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Configuration and Service</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Hardware</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Disk Units</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Disk Pools</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Right-click the production copy of the <span class="uicontrol">Disk Pool</span> you
|
||
|
|
want to reattach and select <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">Geographic Mirroring</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Reattach Mirror Copy</span></span>.</li>
