<div><div class="section"> <p>In order to format and display the trace, you must first end
the trace. This action ends the trace but saves the data in the communications
trace buffer.</p>
<p>To end a communications trace, follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>At the command line, type <samp class="codeph">ENDCMNTRC</samp>.</span></li>
<li><span>For the <em>Configuration object</em> prompt, specify the same line
you specified when you started the trace, such as <samp class="codeph">TRNLINE</samp>.</span></li>
<li><span>For the <em>Type</em> prompt, specify the type of resource, either <samp class="codeph">*LIN</samp> or <samp class="codeph">*NWI</samp>.</span></li>
