<p>The following information contains recovery tasks to perform if you have an abnormal system end, need to recover a damaged journal, journal receiver, or journaled object:</p>

Use the Work with Journal (WRKJRN) command to display the damage status of a journal and display whether or not the last IPL was normal.</li>

This topic describes the recovery actions that take place in the event of an abnormal system end.</li>
