<h3 id="rzajt-cfg400to400lin-rf">Match iSeries system line description parameters for a remote iSeries system</h3>
<p>You must coordinate communications configuration parameters between local
and remote iSeries&trade; systems. These parameters are described in the following table.
This table shows those prompts and parameters that must be coordinated when
you specify line descriptions for the local and remote iSeries systems.</p>
<p>To configure a local iSeries server to a remote iSeries server:</p>
<ul>
<li>See <a href="rzajtrzajtcfg400to400exre.htm#rzajt-cfg400to400ex-re">Connect one iSeries server to another iSeries server</a> for an example of connecting
one iSeries server to another iSeries server.</li>
<li>Use the following table for the line descriptions.</li></ul>

CNNINIT(*REMOTE) or CNNINIT(*WAIT).
<p>For switched connections, both systems
can also specify X25DCE(*NEG) to negotiate the Distributed Computing Environment
(DCE) and data terminal equipment (DTE) roles and CNNINIT(*CALLER) to allow
either system to initiate the connection by making the call.</p>

the iSeries line. You can use the Work with Line Descriptions (WRKLIND)
command to determine this value.</td>
