<h1 class="topictitle1">Using Service Tools Device IDs in System Service Tools (SST)</h1>
<div><p>Change Operations Console configuration data from System Service
Tools (SST) using the Work with service tools user IDs and Devices option.</p>
<div class="section"> <p>From the Work with Service Tools User IDs And Devices display,
select the Service tools device IDs option. By default, this option is locked
to prevent unauthorized changes to existing service tools device IDs, the
creation of new IDs, or the deletion of IDs. To unlock this SST option, you
must use a native macro in Dedicated Service Tools (DST). To unlock the Service
Tools Device IDs menu option, complete the following tasks:</p>
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> By default,
the Service tools device IDs option is locked. If you receive the message <tt class="msgph">The
user can not perform the option selected</tt>, it indicates that the option
has not been unlocked. </div>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Access <span class="uicontrol">Dedicated Service Tools (DST)</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Start a service tool</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Display/Alter/Dump</span>. </span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Display/Alter storage</span>. </span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Licensed Internal Code (LIC) data</span>. </span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Advanced analysis</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Page down until you find the <span class="uicontrol">FLIGHTLOG</span> option.
Place a <kbd class="userinput">1</kbd> next to the option and press Enter. You
should be on the Specify Advanced Analysis Options display. The command should
show as <span class="uicontrol">FLIGHTLOG</span>. </span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Enter the option <span class="uicontrol">SEC UNLOCKDEVID</span> in the
Options field.</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> If you want to lock this option to prevent
later use, enter the option SEC LOCKDEVID.</div>
