<div><p>You can start a detailed monitor from the iSeries™ Navigator interface.</p>
<div class="section"><p>You can start this monitor by right-clicking SQL Performance Monitors
under the Database portion of the iSeries Navigator tree and selecting <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">New</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">SQL Performance Monitor</span></span>.
On the monitor wizard, select <strong>Detailed</strong>.</p>

<div class="section"><p>When you create a detailed monitor, you can filter the information
that you want to capture.</p>
<dl><dt class="dlterm">Minimum estimated query runtime</dt>
<dd>Select this to include queries that exceed a specified amount of time.
Select a number and then a unit of time.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Job name</dt>
<dd>Select this to filter by a specific job name. Specify a job name in the
field. You can specify the entire ID or use a wildcard. For example, 'QZDAS*'
will find all jobs where the name starts with 'QZDAS.'</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Job user</dt>
<dd>Select this to filter by a job user. Specify a user ID in the field. You
can specify the entire ID or use a wildcard. For example, 'QUSER*' will find
all user IDs where the name starts with 'QUSER.'</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Current user</dt>
<dd>Select this to filter by the current user of the job. Specify a user ID
in the field. You can specify the entire ID or use a wildcard. For example,
'QSYS*' will find all users where the name starts with 'QSYS.'</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Internet address</dt>
<dd>Select this to filter by Internet access. The format must be xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
For example: 5.5.199.199.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Only queries that access these tables</dt>
<dd>Select this to filter by only queries that use certain tables. Click <span class="uicontrol">Browse</span> to
select tables to include. To remove a table from the list, select the table
and click <span class="uicontrol">Remove</span>. A maximum of ten table names can
be specified.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">Activity to monitor</dt>
<dd>Select to collect monitor output for user-generated queries or for both
user-generated and system-generated queries.</dd>

<div class="section"><p>You can choose which jobs you want to monitor or choose to monitor
all jobs. You can have multiple instances of monitors running on you system
at one time. You can create up to 10 detailed monitors to monitor all jobs.
When collecting information for all jobs, the monitor will collect on previously
started jobs or new jobs that are started after the monitor is created. You
can edit this list by selecting and removing jobs from the <strong>Selected jobs</strong> list.</p>
