<div class="section">To confirm that your Telnet server is ready for SSL sessions, follow
these steps:</div>

<li>Digital Certificate Manager, 5722-SS1 - Boss Option 34</li>
<li>Cryptographic Access Provider, 5722-AC <var class="varname">x</var></li>
<li>IBM<sup>®</sup> HTTP
Server for iSeries,
5722-DG1</li>
<li>Developer Kit for Java™, 5722-JV1</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Verify that you have a secure Telnet server by associating a certificate
with the Telnet server application QIBM_QTV_TELNET_SERVER.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Ping your host system to verify your TCP/IP connection and network
status.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Determine whether the Telnet server is started.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Determine whether the Telnet server is configured to allow SSL
connections.</span></li>
