<div><p>You need to configure a dial-up connection profile before using

the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) scheduler function to send large

amounts of e-mail through an Internet service provider.</p>

||

<div class="section"><p>The Internet service provider (ISP) Dial-up Connection wizard

||
|

does this for you. If you do not have AT&T Global Network support, see
|
||
|
|
Configure a dial-up mail connection profile for a preliminary step.</p>

<p>The

connection wizard provides you with the IP addresses of the mail servers (SMTP
|
||
|
|
and POP), their assigned domain name, account name, and password.</p>
|
||

<p>To

|
run the wizard and configure your SMTP scheduler, follow these steps:</p>

expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">your iSeries Server</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Remote Access Services</span></span>.</span></li>

<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Originator Connection Profiles</span> and
|
||
|
|
select <span class="uicontrol">New AT&T Global Network Dial Connection</span>.</span></li>

||

<li><span>On the Welcome panel, click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span> to get
|
||
|
|
started.</span></li>

<li><span>On the <span class="uicontrol">Application Type</span> panel, select <span class="uicontrol">Mail
|

|

exchange application</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>

<li><span>Continue with the wizard to set up a new AT&T Global Network

||
|

dial connection.</span></li>
