the data sent for a file, use the STRUCT FTP client subcommand in this format:</p>

<dl><dt class="dlterm">F</dt>
<dd>A file structure. The structure of a file is a continuous sequence of
data bytes.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">R</dt>
<dd>A record structure. The file transfers as a sequence of sequential records.</dd>
</dl>
<p>The structure of a file affects the transfer mode and the
interpretation and storage of a file.</p>
