<div><p>You can use the <span class="uicontrol">New Backup Policy</span> wizard
in iSeries™ Navigator
to create a new backup policy.</p>
<div class="section">To access the wizard, follow these steps:</div>
<ol><li><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Backup, Recovery and Media Services</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Right-click Backup policies and select <span class="uicontrol">New policy</span>.</span></li>

<div class="section"><p>The wizard gives you the following options for creating your backup
policies:</p>

<td valign="top" headers="d0e56 ">Enables you to do a full system backup of all user and IBM-supplied
data. Printer output is not included in this backup.</td>

<tr><td valign="top" headers="d0e54 ">Back up all user data</td>
<td valign="top" headers="d0e56 ">Enables you to back up the data that belongs to users on your system,
such as user profiles, user libraries, folders, configuration data, security
data, and objects in directories.</td>
</tr>
<tr><td valign="top" headers="d0e54 ">Back up Lotus<sup>®</sup> server
data online or a customized set of objects</td>
<td valign="top" headers="d0e56 ">Enables you to do online and incremental online backups of Lotus servers
(such as Domino<sup>®</sup> and QuickPlace<sup>®</sup>)
or choose the items that you would like to back up.</td>

<p>When you finish creating the policy, you can choose to run the
policy or schedule it to run later. If you want to modify the policy later,
you can do that by editing the properties of the policy. There are many customization
options available in the properties of the policy that are not available in
the New Backup Policy wizard. To access the policy properties, right-click
the policy and select <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</p>
