<h2 id="rzahycptpi">Change the port or IP address</h2>
|
||
|
|
<p>The Directory Server uses the following default ports:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul>
|
||
|
|
<li>389 for unsecured connections.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>636 for secured connections (if you have used Digital Certificate Manager
|
||
|
|
to enable Directory Server as an application that can use a secure port).</li></ul>

||
|
|
<div class="notebody">By default, all IP addresses defined on the local system are
|
||
|
|
bound to the server.</div>
|
||
|
|
<p>If you are already using these ports for another application, you can either
|
||
|
|
assign a different port to Directory Server, or you can use different IP addresses
|
||
|
|
for the two servers, if the applications support binding to a specific IP
|
||
|
|
address.</p>
|
||
|
|

<p>To change the ports that the Directory Server uses, take these steps:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
||
|
|
<li>In iSeries Navigator, expand <span class="bold">Network</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Servers</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">TCP/IP</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Right-click <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server</span> and
|
||
|
|
select <span class="bold">Properties</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click the <span class="bold">Network</span> tab.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter the appropriate port numbers, then click <span class="bold">OK</span>.</li></ol>

<p id="chgipadd">To change the IP address on which the directory server accepts
|
||
|
|
connections, take these steps:</p>
|
||
|
|

||

|
<li>In iSeries Navigator, expand <span class="bold">Network</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Servers</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">TCP/IP</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Right-click <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server</span> and select <span class="bold">Properties</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click the <span class="bold">Network</span> tab.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click the <span class="bold">IP Addresses...</span> button.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Select <span class="bold">Use selected IP addresses</span> and select
|
||
|
|
the IP addresses for the server to use when accepting connections.</li></ol>
