<p>In contrast to the 9000 byte jumbo frames provided in IXS and IXA attached
|
||
|
|
servers, virtual Ethernet in systems attached by an iSCSI network defaults
|
||
|
|
to a smaller frame size that can be transported in a standard 1500 byte Ethernet
|
||
|
|
frame.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>If the iSCSI network is capable of a larger frame size, you can configure
|
||
|
|
virtual Ethernet to use a larger size up to 9000 bytes, which improves performance.
|
||
|
|
In a complex iSCSI network, there may be a mix of maximum frame sizes depending
|
||
|
|
on the network topology and equipment involved.</p>
|

<div class="notebody">MTU prompts in the Install Windows Server (INSWNTSVR) command
