<h3 id="rzahqi2kpi">Continue the installation from the integrated Windows server console</h3>
|
||
|
|
<p>When the i5/OS™ phase of the installation completes, the integrated server starts.
|
||
|
|
The Windows server phase of the installation begins. This phase of the installation
|
||
|
|
is easy if you have completed the steps in <a href="rzahqcklpi.htm#rzahqcklpi">Prepare for the installation of integrated Windows servers</a> and specified
|
||
|
|
the installation attributes on the Install Windows server (INSWNTSVR) command.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>To complete installation of Windows server, when not using ServerGuide™, perform
|
||
|
|
these tasks:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
||
|
|
<li>In the <span class="bold">License Agreement</span> step (in Windows Server
|
||
|
|
Setup window), click the <span class="bold">I accept this agreement</span> radio
|
||
|
|
button. Then click <span class="bold">Next</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>If you get error messages, click <span class="bold">OK</span>, and the installation
|
||
|
|
program lets you correct the situation or provide the necessary information.
|
||
|
|
For examples of these error messages and how to respond, see <a href="rzahqindpdi.htm#rzahqindpdi">Respond to error messages during installation</a>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter and confirm the password in the <span class="bold">Computer Name and
|
||
|
|
Administrator Password</span> window.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the <span class="bold">Date/Time Settings</span> panel:
|
||
|
|

<li>Confirm that the i5/OS time zone is correct and matches the Time Zone system
|
||
|
|
value given in <a href="rzahqadvisor1.htm">Windows server installation advisor</a>.
|
||
|
|

|

|
<li>If you are in an area that observes Daylight Savings Time, leave the <span class="bold">Automatically adjust clock</span> box checked.
|

<p>If you know

|
for sure that you do not observe Daylight Savings Time, clear the "Automatically
|
||
|
|
adjust clock for daylight savings changes" check box.</p></li></ol></li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the Completing the Windows Setup Wizard panel, click <span class="bold">Finish</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the <span class="bold">Windows Setup</span> window, click the <span class="bold">Restart Now</span> button, or wait 15 seconds and the server automatically restarts.</li></ol>

<p>To complete the installation of Windows server when using ServerGuide, perform
|
||
|
|
these tasks:</p>
|
||
|
|

<li>Insert the ServerGuide CD in the local optical drive of the HSL attached
|
||
|
|
server. (The IXA attached xSeries® server.)</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Respond <span class="bold">G</span> to the message NTA100C "Insert ServerGuide CD-ROM
|
||
|
|
into &2 optical device. (C G)"</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Follow the ServerGuide Wizard through the install process.</li></ul>
|
||
|
