<div><p>Use this procedure on the primary partition or on a system without

logical partitions.</p>

||

<div class="section">To place the data from the system's main storage to the load-source
|
||
|
|
disk, perform the following procedure:</div>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>If your system has logical partitions, try to power them off.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Verify that there are no interactive jobs running.</span> <ol type="a"><li>Select <span class="uicontrol">Manual</span> mode.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Use the Increment/Decrement buttons to display <span class="uicontrol">function 22</span> (main
|
||
|
|
storage dump).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Press Enter on the control panel.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ol>
|
||
|
|
</li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Is <tt>0000 0000</tt> displayed on the control panel for more than
|
||
|
|
30 seconds?</span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Yes</span>: The multiple function input/output processor
|
||
|
|
(IOP) or service processor is not responding to a request from the control
|
||
|
|
panel. Go to the <a href="rzahbrparzahbrpb.htm#rzahbrparzahbrpb">Report problems: Overview</a>. <span class="uicontrol">This
|
||
|
|
ends the procedure.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span class="uicontrol">No</span>: An attention SRC, A1xx 3022, is displayed,
|
||
|
|
which indicates that function 22 has been selected.</li>
|
||
|
|

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Reselect <span class="uicontrol">function 22</span>, press Enter on the
|
||
|
|
control panel, and wait for the dump to complete. When the dump is complete,
|
||
|
|
the Main Storage Dump Occurred display is shown. The appearance of an A1D0
|
||
|
|
300x or A6Dx 3000 SRC on the Main Storage Dump Occurred display indicates
|
||
|
|
a successful manual MSD. </span></li>

||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Go to the <a href="rzahbreport_msd.htm">Report a main storage dump</a>. <span class="uicontrol">This
|
||
|
|
ends the procedure. </span></span></li>
