|
||
|
port 445 and larger file sizes.</p>

||

<ul><li>QNTC supports TCP/IP port 445<p>The QNTC File system is now capable of
|
||
|
contacting servers using TCP/IP port 445. The Windows<sup>®</sup> servers do not need to be configured
|
||
|
for NetBios over TCP/IP.</p>
|
||
|

|
<li>QNTC supports large file sizes<p>Beginning with V5R4, the QNTC file system
|
||
|
supports reading and writing files up to a size of 1 TB (1 TB equals approximately
|
||
|
1 099 511 627 776 bytes).</p>

<div class="section"><img src="./delta.gif" alt="Start of change" /><h4 class="sectiontitle">Reclaim Object Links (RCLLNK) command</h4><p>The <span class="cmdname">Reclaim
|
||
|
Object Links (RCLLNK)</span> command identifies and repairs damaged objects
|
||
|
in the <span class="q">"root"</span> (/), QOpenSys, and mounted user-defined file systems without
|
||
|
requiring the system to be in a restricted state. This allows you to correct
|
||
|
problems in these file systems without sacrificing productivity. It can be
|
||
|
used as an alternative to the <span class="cmdname">Reclaim Storage (RCLSTG)</span> command
|
||
|
in many situations. For example, RCLLNK is ideal for identifying and correcting
|
||
|
problems in the following situations:</p>
|
||
|
<ul><li>Problems are isolated to a single object.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Problems are isolated to a group of objects.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Damaged objects need to be identified or deleted.</li>
|
||
|
<li>The system cannot be in a restricted state during the reclaim operation.</li>
|
||
|
<li>Independent auxiliary storage pools (ASPs) must be available during the
|
||
|
reclaim operation.</li>
|
||
|
