<div><p>Many integrated file system commands and displays are valid in
|
||
|
|
the independent ASP QSYS.LIB file system.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section"><p>Nearly all the commands listed in <a href="rzaaxifscmd.htm#rzaaxifscmd">Access using CL commands</a> can operate on the independent
|
||
|
|
ASP QSYS.LIB file system. But there are a few exceptions:</p>
|
||
|
|
</div>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section"><ul><li>The <span class="cmdname">ADDLNK</span> command can be used only to create a symbolic
|
||
|
|
link to an object in independent ASP QSYS.LIB.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>File operations can be done only on program-described physical files and
|
||
|
|
source physical files.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>The <span class="cmdname">STRJRN</span> and <span class="cmdname">ENDJRN</span> commands cannot
|
||
|
|
be used on database physical files.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>You cannot move libraries in the independent ASP QSYS.LIB file system
|
||
|
|
to basic auxiliary storage pools (ASPs) using the MOV command. However, you
|
||
|
|
can move libraries in independent ASP QSYS.LIB to the system ASP or other
|
||
|
|
independent ASPs.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>If you use <span class="cmdname">SAV</span> or <span class="cmdname">RST</span> to save or
|
||
|
|
restore library objects on an independent ASP, then that independent ASP must
|
||
|
|
be associated with the job doing the <span class="cmdname">SAV</span> or <span class="cmdname">RST</span> operation,
|
||
|
|
or the independent ASP must be specified on the <samp class="codeph">ASPDEV</samp> parameter.
|
||
|
|
The path name naming convention of <samp class="codeph">/asp_name/QSYS.LIB/object.type</samp> is
|
||
|
|
not supported on SAV and RST.</li>
|
||
|
