<div><p>The independent ASP QSYS.LIB file system supports the <span class="keyword">iSeries™ server</span> library structure in independent
auxiliary storage pools (ASPs) you create and define. This file system provides
access to database files and all of the other <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span> object
types that the library support manages in the independent ASPs.</p>

libraries in independent ASPs</li>
<li>Supports all programming languages and facilities that operate on database

<li>Provides extensive administrative support for managing <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span> objects</li>
<li>Supports stream I/O operations on physical file members, user spaces,
and save files</li>

the integrated file system interface</h4><p>The independent ASP QSYS.LIB
file system can be accessed through the integrated file system interface using
either the i5/OS™ file
server or the integrated file system commands, user displays, and APIs.</p>
<p>In
using the integrated file system interfaces, you should be aware of the following
considerations and limitations. </p>

The QPWFSERVER is an authorization list (object type *AUTL) that provides additional access requirements for all objects in the independent ASP QSYS.LIB file system being accessed through remote clients.</li>

In general, the independent ASP QSYS.LIB file system does not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase in the names of objects.</li>

Each component of the path name must contain the object name followed by the object type of the object.</li>
