Swapping journal receivers replaces the current journal receiver
with a new journal receiver that is automatically created and attached to
the journal by the system. There are two methods that you can use to swap
receivers for journaling. The first method does not allow you to change the
attributes of the new receiver; the second does.

If you select the first method, follow these steps:

From iSeries™ Navigator,
expand the system you want to use.

Expand Databases.

Expand the database that you want to work with and Libraries.

Right-click the journal you want to use and click Swap
Receivers.
For this option, the system generates a new name
when it creates the receiver, and you are not allowed to change the
attributes of the new receiver.

If you select the second method, follow these steps:

From iSeries Navigator,
expand the system you want to use.

Expand Databases.

Expand the database that you want to work with and Libraries.

Double-click the journal you want to use.

Click Receivers. This window displays all of the
receivers that are associated with the journal.

To add a new receiver, click New.

Click OK to close the Journal Receivers window.
Click OK again, and the new journal receiver changes
its status to attached.
For this option, you are allowed to change the
attributes of the new receiver.
