<p>The Work with Service Table Entry (WRKSRVTBLE) command is used to show a list of service table entries from which you can add, remove, display or print the entries. You can also select to print the list.
|
||
|
|
</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>The service table is used to manage the mapping of network services to ports, to record the protocols the services use, and to record a maximum of four alias names for each service. The service table is shipped with some standard port assignments. Values for common functions supported by Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) are available to the Internet community in the assigned numbers <b>RFC</b> (Request for Comments) document, a formal specification of proposals and standards for a portion of TCP/IP.
